Comfrey is a perennial herb found in the grasslands of western Asia as well as in North America. It has bell-shaped red and violet or yellowish flowers. Comfrey is from the borage family “Boraginaceae”. It has a bad reputation because it grows profusely once it is comfortable around the area. Comfrey has been used as an herbal medicine for more than 2,000 years and it can be taken by mouth for heavy menstrual periods, stomach ulcers, diarrhea, bloody urine, cough, bronchitis, cancer, and chest pain. Comfrey can also be applied to the skin for ulcers, muscle soreness, bruises, wounds, rheumatoid arthritis, varicose veins, fractures, and gout.

I suffer from Lupus and all the skin problems that come with it. I first tried this product in sample form and could not find a bottle fast enough!! I followed the directions applying a small amount several times a day (every 6-8 hr) and after several days I just applied once or twice a day and it is hands down the best product I have ever used. I recognize every ingredient listed, it has no smell, and it is not greasy after applied. My skin is starting to heal in places that have been dry and pealing for years. I had a hard time finding it in local stores but Amazon always has my back and it arrived 24 hours after I ordered. They also do one with sun screen that is next on my list of things I must have. Today I will be cleaning out the "lotion drawer" and throwing everything else I have ever tried!! – Kitri Olds
